Kaleeka Bond @ CSULB

Kaleeka Bond, born in Virginia and nurtured in the vibrant culture of Southern California, is a distinguished artist and educator. Graduating with honors, she earned her BFA in 2006 and MFA in 2008 from the esteemed Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD).

With over two decades of exhibiting her work, Kaleeka has seamlessly transitioned into academia, teaching drawing and painting at various institutions across Southern California. Currently juggling nine classes at five different colleges and universities, she also manages two successful businesses and raises two children with her husband.

Driven by societal behaviors and the pervasive influence of mass media, Kaleeka’s art aims to spark social awareness. Her work transcends the superficial, urging viewers to explore deeper truths and embrace individualism. As Kaleeka eloquently puts it, “Art has a unique power to unveil hidden realities, inviting us to live beyond the obvious and appreciate the diversity that shapes our world.”
